A Biography of Alcoholics Anonymous Cofounder Dr. Bob

The Prince of All Twelfth-Steppers

Dick B. and Ken B.

After years and years of biographies and biographical material on A.A. cofounder Bill Wilson, a complete, thorough, well-documented, and entertaining biography of Alcoholics Anonymous cofounder Dr. Robert Holbrook Smith (Dr. Bob) will soon be released. Its third draft is now being edited, and the book itself will probably be ready for print-on-demand distribution about March 2010. The title is: The Prince of All Twelfth Steppers. The book will be about 275 pages in length in 6” x 9” format. And it is a first. A must. And a lifelong treasure. Unique because it is not merely a biography, but a guide for those in recovery today who want to know what the Original A.A. program was, where it came from, what its seven simple precepts were, and how it achieved the 75% success rate claimed by early A.A. among “seemingly-hopeless,” “medically-incurable” alcoholics who thoroughly followed the early Akron A.A. path. This means that those who are awash in nonsense gods, weird "spirituality," and 12 Step questions, can find out exactly how God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Bible can help them today if they want that help. They'll learn "old school" A.A. and how to apply it today.

God Bless, Dick B.

Dick B.’s body of work on the history and successes of early Alcoholics Anonymous includes seminars, books, articles, radio interviews, videos, audio cassettes tapes, audio blog talks, and newspaper articles. They show how the basic, and highly successful, biblical ideas used by early AAs can be valuable tools for success in today's A.A. Also, the religious and recovery communities are using his research and titles to work more effectively with alcoholics, addicts, and others involved in Twelve Step programs.
